Satellite description
The International Space Station (ISS) is a collaborative project involving NASA, Roscosmos, ESA, JAXA, and CSA. It is the largest human-made structure in low Earth orbit (LEO). It serves as a microgravity laboratory where scientific research is conducted in various fields, such as astrobiology, astronomy, meteorology, and physics. Astronauts have continuously inhabited the ISS since Nov 2000, and the space station supports testing spacecraft systems and equipment needed for long-duration missions to the Moon and Mars.
